Who, what and why?

One person in the group or class is to be elected as a temporary Group President. The Group President will become the only person whose views the tutor will take into account when deciding what will happen for the remaining period(s) of the session.

You must take one of three positions:

A

You would like to be Group President

If this is your choice you will have to give a short speech to outline why others should vote for you.

B

You do not want to be Group President

If this is your choice you will have to give a short speech to outline why others should NOT vote for you.

C

You don't know what you want.

If this is your choice you will not get a vote BUT others can vote for you.

After the speeches people in categories A and B will receive a ballot paper (or be provided with a link to a web poll) to determine the Group President.

In the event of two or more people sharing the highest number of votes those in category C (the don't knows) ONLY will vote to decide the winner.

If there is still no winner the tutor will decide on the toss of a coin.
